In 2012, Clark Schaffer, owner of Schaffer Studios, bought the rights to the upcoming film series. Author Brandon Mull teamed up with them along with distributor Warner Bros. Nothing has been heard about the film's status since 2013, when a video interview was released discussing it. The project might be abandoned.
A frequent viewer of the Fablehaven wiki was interested in auditioning for Fablehaven:The Movie, and after a brief email conversation with Shadow Mountain Publishing, found that they are still in the process of choosing a director and producer. Auditions have not yet been held.
