Jinzen was a long Chinese dragon and the first guardian of the Titan Valley Dragon Temple. A dragon of light, he was extremely fast and had exceptional reflexes.[3] Jinzen was also a treasure dragon, hoarding valuable items in his lair.[3]

Biography[]

Intrusion of the Dragon Temple[]

When Kendra Sorenson, Warren Burgess, Vanessa Santoro, Tanu, and Raxtus entered the Dragon Temple at Titan Valley, Jinzen was the first guardian they faced. At first, Jinzen offered them a chance to leave if they left their most valuable items for him to claim, though they did not comply. After attempts to harm Jinzen by melee failed because of his immense speed and reflexes, and Jinzen's attempts to kill the intruding group also failed because of the gummy potion, Kendra tried a new strategy. When Jinzen was coming her way, she put on the Fairy King's signet ring, which caused a massively bright flash to occur. Now blind and utterly enraged, the dragon charged towards Warren, not knowing that he carried am axe, and was cut down the middle to almost a third of his length, killing him.

Physical appearance[]

Jinzen had a long body with scales flashing like gilded coins. The brilliant dragon had no wings, but was still able to fly, and had little sets of pawed feet. The head resembled a fox with golden fur and eyes as bright as emeralds. Jinzen had a clear voice that sounded as if it came from all directions.[3]

Powers and abilities[]

  • Breath weapon: Jinzen's breath weapon was a shimmering stream of gold. It is unknown what the effects of being hit would cause.[3]
  • Flight: Even though Jinzen was wingless, he could still hover above the ground and fly with exceptional skill.[3]
"He has blazing speed and unearthly reflexes."
Raxtus, about Jinzen[src]
  • Speed and reflexes: Jinzen's speed and reflexes were unmatched. Even Raxtus, who was a particularly skilled aerialist, or mortals using speed potions, were no match for his mobility.[3]
