The People of the Deep are the drowned undead. These undead creatures move on the ocean floor and doesn't float. They serve the Underking, some living in his realm, and are more skilled and alert than most zombies. They are also referred to as the floorscrubbers by the merfolk, and shambling wanderers by Hako.

History

After a lich drained the energy of the four golems that protect the merfolk village, Alluvia Minor, the people of the deep besieged it.

Master of the Phantom Isle

Kendra, Knox, Tanu, Warren, and Vanessa attempted to sneak past the people of the deep in order to enter Alluvia Minor at Crescent Lagoon while Hako created a diversion, but they were spotted. The people of the deep quickly surrounded them, though they were saved by the merfolk, who carried them to safety at their village. When Kendra revived the golems, they drove the people of the deep away from Alluvia Minor.
