Stavius, also known as Stavius the Obscure, was the door warden of the Under Realm. Suited in heavy black armor, he had a translucent face that allowed an onlooker to see his skull, and wasn’t entirely tangible. Stavius was a captain among liches and surrounded by a dark aura that resisted light.
If the lich pronounced the word 'Writhe' while pointing at an individual, the victim would feel their muscles grow sore as if they were trying to cramp, and their vision would become blurry. It's likely that other symptoms would appear after a few seconds, but that has not been confirmed.
Master of the Phantom Isle[]
When Kendra entered the Under Realm with the Fairy Queen’s crown, Stavius confronted her, using his 'Writhe' ability. Kendra partly resisted it with help from the crown and her magical energy and forcefully drove the lich back. When Kendra’s light brightened, Stavius advanced as if traveling against a strong wind. As he came closer, he became even less substantial, looking almost invisible. Stavius met his end when he came to close to Kendra as dazzling flames consumed his body, leaving nothing behind.
